When Elizabeth Lee receives an ultimatum from her mother to either get married or find a job, the feisty 19-year-old decides to enroll into the police academy. She and her friends are forced to prove themselves in the police force before being taken seriously.
1949, the Japanese Occupation is over, Singapore has returned to British control, but people are still struggling to pick up the pieces of their lives. 19-year-old Elizabeth Lee just finished her Senior Cambridge exams and her mother, Yoke Lien gives her two choices: find a job or get married. However, Elizabeth’s feisty nature gets the better of her and she gets into a scuffle with gangsters.
